What is "Quality Education"?
Quality education is a fundamental driver of social mobility, equality, and sustainable development. Although global progress has been made in increasing access to schooling especially for girls millions of children and young people around the world continue to face barriers to education. More than 260 million children were out of school even before the pandemic, and many learners still do not meet minimum proficiency levels in reading and mathematics.
While global crises such as pandemics and economic instability have intensified educational inequalities, the long-term challenge remains ensuring that learning opportunities are inclusive, equitable, and accessible to all. Achieving SDG-4 requires strengthening lifelong learning systems, expanding access to quality teaching, removing socio-economic barriers, and investing in educational technologies and community outreach.
Yeditepe University supports this global mission through its comprehensive academic infrastructure and wide-access educational ecosystem. The University’s library and academic resources are open not only to its students but also to external users through regulated procedures. Furthermore, Yeditepe provides free or low-cost access to public lectures, vocational education programmes, community events, and numerous outreach activities carried out by student clubs and academic units. These initiatives reflect the University's commitment to ensuring that quality education is accessible, inclusive, and aligned with the principles of lifelong learning and equal opportunity.
Yeditepe University has an extensive library comprised of many books, journals, and other kinds of media. The library serves Yeditepe students and any other person that would like to benefit from any of its contents at any time.
